Candidate will be the first point of contact for all kind of accounting topics for the Organization. As generally the bookkeeping works are done centrally by corporate accounting, the candidate will mainly do preparation work (e.g. booking instructions for central accounting), doing reviews of postings and act as an advisor to the central team to ensure bookkeeping is being done in accordance with local Pakistan requirements. This includes amongst others
-Processing of vendor invoices
-Processing of customer invoices
-Fixed asset accounting
-Month end closing
-Year end closing
In order to fulfil the tasks above the candidate must be familiar with SAP (at least FICO module).
To make sure all monthly and annual tax filings (e.g. WHT, Sales Tax on federal and/or provincial level) are being performed in time (this will require working with external consultants)
3.Local communication with auditors
Candidate will be first point of contact for local auditors to provide financial information / documents during annual financial audit.
4.Treasury / banking
Candidate will work with HQ treasury and local Bank to request or provide documentation in case required for transactions (e.g. for foreign currency remittances)
Candidate needs to support colleagues to provide supporting documentation if needed during the import process. In addition candidate needs to ensure accurate booking of import invoices (together with central accounting team)
